dc.description.abstract | The study examined the relationship between technology adoption, employee engagement and how they contribute to job performance. The researcher used a cross sectional survey design using a quantitative approach. Convenience sampling design was adopted and the sample size was 240 respondents out of a target population of 650 employees. Data was analyzed using statistical package for social scientists (SPSS). Study findings reveal that there is a significant positive relationship between technology adoption and perceived job performance (r = .36, p ≤.01); technology adoption and employee engagement (r = .27, p ≤.01); employee engagement and perceived job performance (r = .32, p ≤.01). Technology adoption combined with employee engagement significantly predict perceived job performance (r²adj = .174, F=26.12**). The researcher recommends that further research should be carried on technology adoption, employee engagement and perceived job performance because the model explained only 17.4% of these variables. Therefore, a large percentage of the unexplained variance suggests the need for additional research incorporating potential unmeasured variables. The research was limited to a cross sectional research study and the researcher recommends that a longitudinal study should be considered in order to validate the findings. | en_US |
