Prof.I warmly welcome our Guest of Honour, Hon Dr JC Muyingo - the Minister of State for higher Education. We thank you for sparing time out of your busy schedule and be with us at the second session of the Kyambogo University graduation ceremony. In the same vein, I wish once again to extend our sincere thanks to His Excellency Yoweri Tibuhaburwa Kaguta Museveni - President of the Republic of Uganda and the University's Visitor, who virtually officiated at the first session of the ceremony and Mama Janet Kataaha Museveni - the First Lady of Uganda and Minister of Education and Sports who also graced the occasion. We appreciated their thought provoking speeches and took note of the good advice contained therein. I also wish to welcome our graduands who are the reason we are assembled here today; their parents, guardians and benefactors who may be watching the proceedings online or on television as well as the honourable ministers and distinguished guests. C. Muyingo, the Minister of State for Higher Education, I want to thank you for sparing time to join us at this function when we celebrate the achievements of the University. This confirms your great interest in matters of higher education in this country. I thank you for your periodic guidance on matters of governance and your wise counsel and advice when things appeared not to be going very well. I personally value your counsel from time to time. Lastly, I wish to congratulate you on being reappointed to serve as Minister of State for Higher Education, the area you are very well versed with . Yesterday, the 21st September 2021 , The President of the Republic of Uganda, General Kaguta Museveni was our chief guest and the First Lady and Minister of Education graced the occasion and addressed us virtually. Through you we want to express our gratitude and appreciation for the time they spent with us. Convey our best wishes to the President and the First Lady.
