It further provides for establishing strategic ICT infrastructure and its utilization for both academic and administrative business process improvement.Item Kyambogo University Financial Management Manual 2014 as Amended 2021(Kyambogo University [unpublished work], 2021) Kyambogo UniversityManagement of finances and other resources is fundamental to the success of teaching and research programs in Kyambogo University. The approval of this Policy Manual by the University Council is, therefore, a central step towards good financial management and the achievement of the above core programs. Kyambogo University will continue to make use of the available financial and other resources, to take lead into innovative teaching and research that has historically enabled our graduates excel at employers' premises.This financial management manual will, therefore, be instrumental in guiding the University Council, Management, staff and the Guild to manage programs and projects aimed at developing Kyambogo University. It provides for the roles, mandate and responsibilities of the various University organs and stakeholders in the various financial management functions. Efficient management of those functions will be a key input into the modeling of the kind of graduate desired by the labor, production and entrepreneurship world. I wish to congratulate the University Council, Management, Staff and Students for the effort in the production of this very important policy. The overall expectation is enhanced research and Innovations visibility at the University.Item Reviewed Kyambogo University Examination Regulations(Kyambogo University(Unpublished work), 2015-10-28) Kyambogo UniversityAt its 2nd session of the 58th meeting of Senate held on 28th October, 2015, Senate reviewed some sections of the examination regulations.Item Rules of Procedure for Kyambogo University Council(Kyambogo University(Unpublished work), 2016-07) Kyambogo University Council CharterKyambogo University is a Public University established in 2003 by the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act 2001, as amended in 2003 and 2006. It was specifically established under Statutory Instrument, Number 37 of 2003. Kyambogo University is a body corporate that arose out of the merger of the Institute of Teacher Education Kyambogo (ITEK), the Uganda Polytechnic Kyambogo, (UPK) and the Uganda National Institute of Special Education (UNISE). Section 38 of the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001 (as amended), creates a University Council. Section 40 (1) makes the University Council the supreme organ of the Public University and as such responsible for the overall administration of the objects and functions of the University. In addition, section 72 empowers the University Council to make statutes consistent with the Act to govern its membership, functions, privileges and procedures. This Charter therefore sets out the standard, procedures and guidelines under which the University Council and its Committees shall perform their duties. The Kyambogo University Council Charter is established to guide the conduct of activities in the Council so that the University’s operations can be managed sensitively and responsibly, whilst giving due consideration to its impact on the environment and society; balancing growth with sustainability. The Charter repeals the Kyambogo University Council Guidelines 2011.
