| dc.description.abstract | The application of positive psychology concepts in professional psychology in Uganda is in its infancy. Both undergraduate and postgraduate psychology programmes in Ugandan universities have very limited emphasis on positive psychology concepts. Some applications are apparent in HIV/AIDS and disability counseling issues. Other practice areas with use of positive psychology concepts include the counseling of war victims, orphans and street children. There is potential for a greater infusion of positive psychology concepts in professional psychology in Uganda. | en_US |
