Item Organizational support and work engagement in primary schools in Njeru municipality : the moderating effect of thriving at work(Kyambogo University(Unpublished work), 2025-01) Nassali, BarbraThis study investigated the relationship between Organization Support, Thriving at work and work engagement in primary schools in Njeru Municipality in Buikwe district Uganda. Using a correlational survey design, data was collected by the use of self-administered questionnaire among 248 teachers. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze data. The study findings revealed demographic characteristics did not influence organization support, Work Engagement and Thriving at work in primary schools but, positive and meaningful relationships were found among the variables. Employees' beliefs about how much the organization value their contributions and cares about their well-being, promotes feelings that their work is good and fulfilling which leads to vigor, dedication, and absorption in their work roles. Organizational support and Thriving are significant factors in the work engagement of primary school teachers in Uganda. Hence organizational factors; leadership and psychosocial support are crucial in the work engagement of primary school teachers, thus supporting the significance of leadership in the work engagement of primary school teachers in Uganda.
